Finally finished with all my Christmas presents!! Just in time as I'm heading back to work tomorrow and will probably be in a coma until sometime in the afternoon on the 23. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year!! :)

01 o'clock

Oddly enough I'm not feeling the slightest bit tired right now, which is weird seeing its past 01 in the morning, and yet not so weird considering I've just worked 6 nights shift. So what does one do with the lack of sleepiness: make some cute Christmas treats!!

 

Next I might quiz myself on the capitals of the world. I'm certain it's most useful to be able to know the capital and shape of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The capital is nothing less than Grytviken. A Norwegian whaler being the only person crazy enough to want to establish himself there back in 1904. In case you are wondering there was also a Prince Olav Harbour and a Husvik and a Stromsness. Its polar and suffers from few hours of sunlight during the year. Sounds like another place I've been.. Seems to me he would have been more comfortable settling himself on the more northern Sandwich Islands, also known as Hawaii. (Det hadde vært enda hakket mer patriotisk å kalt de Brødskive Øyene liksom ,)

Today it's my little shrimp of a brother's birthday!! He's finally done with his fjortis days. He keeps growing like a weed, and this year I was able to inherit his winter coat from last year ;) Sometimes it pays off to be the shortest in the family..

Reisen til Julestjernen

Tonight my mom, sister and I went to the movies to watch...hm..Reisen til julestjernen. It was -10 degrees and the car battery was dead again. Thankfully my sisters car was alive. We were the last of the audience to arrive, which was slightly embarrassing, since we couldn't pretend some of the kids belonged to us. But no one stopped me coming in with my big thermos cup of coffee, so it was all good ;)

1.Desember

Driving aboard the ferry to cross the fjord. -5 degrees and the sun is starting to go down even though its only 14.30. Beautiful blue mountainpeaks with snow on top, blue and purple sky and blue islands in a light blue fjord. I wish my phone camera would do it justice.
