In Palu!

On the way to Palu, Manila airport terminal 2. What are your thoughts on seeing this long line in the airport...people lining up to check in? People waiting to board the airplane? No and no. This is the line for the womens rest-room/toilets. Guess how long the line was for the guys rest-room? No line. When is someone gonna inform the people who build airports that you need at least 2 womens rest-rooms for every mens rest-room!? ;)

This is my appartement in Palu, it looks like it might be a while before I can move in ;)

A friend from Salatiga and his future wife are planning to move into the apartement on the right.

This is what the house will look like when it's done

We went to a local baptist church this morning, just down the road from here. Very friendly people and cute kids :)

Philippines

Some pics from the last week:

I've had a bunch of mango smooties, fresh mango and dried mango, yum!!

I also found norwegian water in a shop called "healthy options"

Went to a church service in a huge church that can seat several thousand people three times per sunday. The message was good too

Some friends took us to a cool place a couple of hours from Manila, an island with a lake with an island with a lake with an island, a vulcano was also involved, and a boat...and horses!

We got soaked on the way over to the island, which is really fine when it is 30 degree celsius

The view from the top facing where we came from
And the view down on the lake in the vulcano crater, pretty cool
Whichever way I turned my phone I could not manage to get the whole lake in on one shot

Our awesome friends and tourist guides!! :) Thank you Ragnar and Elizabeth for hanging out with us

There were plenty of people ready to sell us drinks for insane prizes, they even took pictures of us on horseback, printed them and presented them to us in a frame ,)

Eating lunch in a pretty garden

For hire or not for hire...thats the question

For some reason I think she prefers these ones over the real thing ;)

Gotta love the European section of the supermarked, presenting american potato chips and spam. Typical European ;)

Making food baskets and saying goodbye

Yesterday me and Anne made food basket presents as our last language study with our teacher Ibu Lilies, indo style.

Then I went to sat goodbye to some people from the local church I've been going, and they gave me a pretty shawl/scarf as a goodbye present!
