New apartement and garden!!

I finally found a place to live!! It came with a tiny little garden with a bunch of chili plants, tomatoes and kangkung (a green, leafy vegetable). The other day some friends helped me clean it up.

One of them even climbed the neighbors tree and asked to chop down a few branches that were dropping a lot of leaves into my driveway. She used a machete ofcourse!

Afterwards I got to play with the machete a bit as well, cleaning small branches of the large one

Then we dug neat rows to replant all the chili plants

Voila! Hopefully the plants will survive the trauma ;)

 My green living room

Squatty potty and bucket shower, good workout for the thighs for sure..

 My "dining room"

Halfway outdoor kitchen. By that I mean that the walls dont go all the way of the the roof, its kinda like a built on part on the back of the house. There was no sink to begin with, but I asked if one could be put in so I didnt have to do my dished on the ground. I'm just not there yet with my indonesian squat.. :)

Towards the front. Usually I keep the door in the front open so the wind can blow in through the front and out the back, natural temperature control. On average my apartement is just over 30 degrees inside the livingroom. I have an AC in my bedroom which I keep at 26 degrees and it feels pretty cold at night, I had to up it from 25 degrees cause I was freezing, haha, how weird is that. I would never be able to sleep if it was that hot in my bedroom in Norway

Just for good measure, a picture from the other night, we went out to eat ikan bakar, barbequed fish. First you pick the fish you want, and then they prepare it for you with lots of yummy spices.

  1. Hyggelig leilighet, skal si dette er forskjell på en norsk lelighet.
