Starting a blog...again

I've decided to go ahead and start a blog to keep all of you updated, especially now that I'm about to leave for Ethiopia (!), and I know a lot of you want to follow along with what is happening down there and see pictures and so on. I actually had a blog before, like twice, but I never ended up updating it, but this time I'm determined to write. I've decided to write in English for all my non-norwegians friends and American family, which is I guess most of you anyways ;) So you my family, relatives and friends, you'll just have to cope :) I've gotten a hold of a video camera, so hopefully there will be some clips on here when I figure out how to work it. I also want you to be able to get a closer look at how life is in Africa and how women and childrens lives are in particular, cause that is what I'll be working with.

I leave on the 28th of January and will be working in a smallish health center in Addis Abeba focusing on womens and childrens health (3 weeks), and a childrens ward in a large public hospital (1 week). We will also hopefully take part in a preventative health champagne in a village outside of the capital. As of now we don't know too much about exactly what we will be doing and how out living situation will be, but it sure will be exciting!

  1. Bra dere er vel framme! Håper dere får spennende dager! Kald solfylte dag i Molde . Ett tynt lag nysnø gjorde skiløypene flotte. God natt Afrika !
