We planned to just chill and get used to the environment this weekend, but that's not exactly what happened. Well I guess saturday was okey, we went and spent the day in the sun at Hilton. Me and Ingeborg went to the orphanage we visited earlier to give them cookies and candy and lotions and soaps, but we weren't allowed to enter because the head person wasn't there. So we have to go back on monday. This morning Gurå discovered her laptop was missing from her room! Birikit, the lady we know from the Ethiopian Sanitets Forening, told us it was probably someone working there who had stolen it. The staff at the place have become very uncomfortable to be around, and we don't trust them anymore. They are making a lot of trouble with the payments and are not very nice anymore. So we have decided to move next door to the nicer place, which we have gotten a deal with, so its ending up not being too much more. On top of this Sigrid has been feeling ill, and last night she was feeling really bad and they ended up going to the hospital (not the public one we worked in ;) in the middle of the night. She got really good treatment there and antibiotics for a stomach infection, and is doing better now. So at least we know now how to get treatment!
Gurå spent most of the day with Birikit and Ingeborg going to different police stations to get a certificate so she can get money back on her insurance. They had to go to 4 different places! Now they have some insight into the police department situation in Ethiopia, and were even escorted by some officers between the stations ;)
Now we are hoping for some less drama when we move tomorrow!
