Earlier this week I got to go visit a village where the people where having a conferance. I wasn't there for the conferance (which was in a tribal language I don't speak), but just for a quick visit as there was an helicopter going in to transport people from nearby villages for the conferance. Instead of a day long hike, these people were able to take a 5-10 min helicopter ride instead!
Weighing all the stuff, as well as ourselves, before taking of from my town. We also brough supplies for some guys living in another village.
This is where we landed. The village is right behind those trees
A typical house
I had two of my meals at this house, yummy mountain rice and veggies in coconut milk, and chicken.
These guys used to live in the village for many years. They come back a few time a year to help out with conferances, teaching and bible translation. I stayed overnight at their house,
I was in the mountains, and it got so nice and "cold" in the evening and night. I even had to wear a sweather! Thats the first time since I move to this island
Making sure we have enough fuel
Getting to ride in the front with the pilot on the way back, lots of fun!
