This is not a simplified playstation control, as it may appear at first sight, but this is how they do their theory drivers test in this town! Exactly how it works I don't know, cause thankfully I wasn't asked to do the test, but I had to wait in the test room for a few minutes before getting my picture and fingerprints.
The test room. Good thing they have all the signs up on the wall so you at least don't have to get those wrong, hehe.
Where we spent some of our time waiting, it took us about 3 hours before our new lisences were in hand.
People always ask to get pictures with the bules (white person) and the police are apparantly just as keen on a group shoot. Now I've started to say that I want a picture too, which is always really surprising to them ;)
Back to the house...last evening I busted about 5 cows that had snuck through the gate and were eating away at the trees in the front yard.
A new friend took me out to eat some food that is special for this town, it was a kind of corn soup that we added roasted peanuts to. Pretty yummy
This is from a house meeting I went to tonight. After some singing and sharing from the word we had some food together. Deep fried bananas (pisang goreng) with spicy sause, and a soup made from something that resembles potato called singkong or ubi (it might be the same as cassava) and some kind of green lentile. The interesting part of it is that they make it sweet instead of savory.
