Today I went to the wedding of my language helpers niece! It was an american/local wedding, but to be honest there was little American about it. The clothing, ceremony, decoration, food and so on was very particular for this island and its culture. It was pretty cool to be able to take part in it and learn a bit more about the culture :)

Wow, what a cultural experience for the groom. (Would be interesting to hear his story!) And so cool that you guys got to go to the wedding and engagement party. AND even cooler that you included that squished rat in your blog post. I was eating my breakfast as I read your post, and I have to say that the rat guts and smashed fur really made my appetite grow. :-D
