Yesterday afternoon I spent a few hours cruising around town with my friend Jess! She took me to a bunch of places I hadn't been yet, and helped me find shorts for playing soccer (which is not as easy as you would think..!). Getting shorts was the actual plan, but we ended up doing a bunch more than that. If someone asks you if you want to get corn on the cob, fresh coconut juice or something from a local bakery...why not get all three :) So that's what we did!
First we visited her boarding house to drop something off. There was a bunch of birds there.
After finding buying shorts we tried some stuff from the local bakery
Then after running some other erands, we went for a coconut!
After the coconut we went to several batik stores and looked around. Then we went to this place for a corn on the cob.
While waiting we played around with my camera
We got the corn-on-the-cob to go, and brough it to this beautiful place in the rice fields!
Then we took silly pictures in the sunset...
...and ate our corn! Yummy!
So much fun! Looking forward to exploring the outskirts of this town soon, when I get a bit better at driving my scooter :)
