Market

Today me and some friends went to the market in the afternoon, and it was surprisingly busy for that time of day. A lot of the shops were already closed, but lots of people were still out and about.

We saw these poor goats, who will probably be slaughtered tomorrow for Idul Adah, a holiday they celebrate here in the mosques

We went to a place where they sell birds and saw some of the bird food that was for sale...yuk, trays and trays of squiggly worms

They like their birds colorful here :)

The kids were a hit as always, Alia is still really patient with all the cheek and foot squishing!

Who wants to shake the white kids hand??!

High fives are also a hit here

I found a dentist sharing my name :)

We ended the evening with some doughnuts

  1. Got myself all caught up on your blog from the last week...exciting! Love the color of your house and the name...wild blue yonder. :-) And thinking of you guys today with all the action happening. Hope we get a not-too-graphic post of the holiday! ;-) xoxo
